Sun's out, tees out - IT'S T-SHIRT WEATHER, PEOPLE!
I'm still buzzing from hosting my first pop-up stall at the weekend at the school summer fair. Yes, there was a huge amount of planning and investment (stock, clothing rails, marketing materials) but I'm so glad I did it as I made more sales of #HappyTees than I thought I would at a local fair and the feedback I got from people was really lovely, so it was a truly positive experience and one I'm hoping to repeat (though possibly in less face-meltingly hot weather...).
For any small businesses out there wondering whether to host a stall at a local event, I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you normally only sell online like I do. It was great to be able to let my customers handle the stock and see it In Real Life, plus I was able to hold tees up against them to help gauge sizing, as well as connect and interact in a different way to how I do over social media. I really enjoyed it and it was so nice to see customers face to face.
If I'd been anywhere near more switched on (In my other life I'm organised), I'd have booked myself into several summer fairs before ordering my stock and would now not be panicking about having a house full of tees and wondering if I'll be able to sell them, lol, but in the true spirit of my Eat Sleep Wing it Repeat tee, I'm working these things out as I go along and will find a way to showcase my fair stock and seek out some lovely new customers.
Bring on more sunshine!
